The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on robot vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers can be ideal for those who are looking to get rid of mopping off their list of things to do. Some models have superior mapping and obstacles avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other models on this list making it easier to navigate in tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh which can last up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery part way through cleaning.
It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways with only one sweep. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to clean dirt, pet hair, and poop with ease. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.
The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by much. The rotating mop spins at a high rate and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which is useful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to pick up larger objects like broken toys and books.
Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to install and performs well. However should you purchase this vacuum solely for mopping purposes it is important to pay attention to this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase a highly effective, versatile, and customizable cleaning machine.
The device is equipped with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the home and locate furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean effectively and efficiently. This will result in an efficient, consistent clean that is also quite fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. They can reach corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach areas. They also have a flexible side brush that can be extended to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads can be washed and dried to avoid build-up and lessen the odors.
Another noteworthy feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction level and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also select the number of passes which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also choose to disable the side brush to prevent damaging rugs and carpets.
The device comes with a high price tag but is packed with a wide array of advanced features. It is important to remember, however, that the device will incur regular expenses, such as mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hours, and mop pads must be changed every one to three month.
This robotic vacuum cleaner has an excellent Amazon rating and includes many physical automation features. The vacuum also has an power button that doubles as a 'Clean button' and a 'Home button to send it back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and drys its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home tidy with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping system with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.
Our test participants found that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature was its precise map of your floorplan that it uses to draw the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which can help to protect specific areas of your home from being swept with mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of picking up hair of pets. cheap robot vacuum cleaner was able to collect some of the hair that our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots had struggled. It was quiet and even had some pleasant jingles that indicated when it was beginning or finished its work.
Its main drawbacks were its simple app and the requirement to swap between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. robot vacuum cleaner cheap can't contain multiple maps, which can be a pain for homes with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a device that can vacuum and mop.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our test, but it also has unique features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni is most notable for its huge dock that serves as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin as well as a 2.5 liter dust bin.
The base comes with several control buttons, which allow you to manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to switch on the child lock, which is a nice option for parents concerned about children playing with the vacuum.
The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise in finding objects.
Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally get caught up in obstacles, like an electrical cord dangling across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you remove it manually. This is a rare event however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert on its application.
Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually swap between the two, which isn't too bad except for the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant change from the utilitarian all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing sight in a space which is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
