The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning appliances. His main focus is mopping and robot vacuum combinations. Multitaskers are a great option for those looking to cross mopping off the to-do list. They feature impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model you need to choose if you want an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than other models on this list, making it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). automated vacuum can even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through cleaning.
It's very efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor is quick at picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.
The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by much. The mop rotates quickly and uses 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which is useful to get into tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and works well however, this is something you'll need to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a wide range of features.
The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the house and identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and efficiently. This will ensure a thorough and consistent clean, while also being relatively quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. These include corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach spots. The side brush can be stretched out to extend to the floor, close to the walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are also washable and dry to reduce odors and prevent buildup.
App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction intensity and choose a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it will make, which will determine how fast the device will traverse your home. You can also decide to disable the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.
The device is costly, however it has many useful features. It's important to remember that it carries regular expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For instance the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad must be replaced every three to six months.
This robotic vacuum cleaner is a top Amazon rating and includes an array of physical automation features. It has the power button that can also function as a general 'Clean' button and a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after finishing its cleaning task. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically empties the trash bin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be a good choice for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home tidy without spending too much time doing chores. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation and long battery life allow you to maintain a clean home with little effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot has two modules: a combined dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping system with microfiber pads that snap into and out of the way. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming might seem a bit outdated but they're a good thing because that you don't need to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which can help to keep specific areas of your home from being cleaned with mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting hair of pets. It was able to collect some of the hair our cats shed, and even made it into the nooks and crannies on our stairs where other robots struggled. It was fairly quiet and had some nice jingles that let you know when it was beginning or completing its task.
Its main drawbacks were its simplistic app and the necessity to swap out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app doesn't have the capacity to contain multiple maps, which can be a problem if you have a home with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who are looking for a smart device that can vacuum and mop.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it also has distinctive features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its enormous dock, which doubles as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.
The base has several control buttons, which allow you to manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to turn off a child lock that is a great option for parents concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.
Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck if it gets caught in an obstacle like a power cable draped over a rug. It will not work until you untangle it manually. While this was rare however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert in its application.
Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually swap between the two, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.
On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxy models.
