The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those looking to remove mopping from their to-do lists. They are equipped with impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and some even wash and refill their mopping pads for a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model you should select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It is smaller than other models which makes it more maneuverable in tight corners or under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.
It's fast and does an excellent job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single sweep. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to clean dirt hair, pet hair, and poop with ease. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help pull away debris from corners.
The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as effective. The rotating mop spins at a high rate and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into tight corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger pieces of debris, such as books and toys that have been damaged.
Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to set up and works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum for mopping, you will need to pay attention to this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a range of features.
The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the house, identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and methodically. This results in an effective, consistent cleaning that is also quite quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other difficult to reach spots. They also have a flexible side brush that extends to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads can be dried and washed to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce odors.
Another notable feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction intensity and choose either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it must make, which will affect the speed at which the device can move through your home. You can even choose to turn off the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.
The device has a high price tag but is packed with a wide array of smart features. However, it's important to keep in mind that it has periodic costs in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For example, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad must be replaced every three to six months.

This robotic vacuum cleaner has a high rating on Amazon and comes with a wide array of physical automation features. It has a power button that can also function as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home button that will take it back to its base station once it has completed its cleaning session. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and cleans and drys its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a professional with a lot of work or just want to have a clean home without spending a lot of time on chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid choice. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home clean with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a two-in-one mop and vacuum. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. automated vacuum is divided into two components, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module that includes microfiber pads. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may seem a bit old-fashioned, but they do mean you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the water tank.
Our test subjects discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its best feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.
The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up hair from pets. It was able to collect the majority of hair that our cats shed and even got into the nooks and crevices of our stairs while other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low, and there were some nice jingles to signal that it was beginning and working towards its goal.
The biggest flaws were its lack of sophistication and the necessity to switch out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app cannot keep multiple maps. robot vacuum hoover can be an issue if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who want a device that can mop and vacuum.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. It does however, have some unique features which are worth a look. The X1 Omni's main draw is its enormous dock, which doubles as the robot's charging base and housing for two water tanks, a cleaning sink, and the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.
The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start cleaning, recall the robot, or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down robot vacuum hoover of the buttons to switch on a child lock that is a great option for parents concerned about children playing with the vacuum.
The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to spot obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognizing objects.
Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni could sometimes get so entangled with obstacles, like the power cord that is draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence, it was a frustrating experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni does not have a "stuck" status alert in its application.
The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant difference from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxy units.
